![]() Then go the rest into divine soul sorcerer 14. Paladin 6 gives you everything from a martial that you would need in multi attack, extra damage, and all the proficiencies. It can easily be built in a few different way depending on how you want to be.Īnd for my most balanced Gish I think a paladin sorcerer multi would be the best. ![]() It’s a nice hit die and weapon proficiencies. So many spells for all levels of play and plenty of non melee potential for certain situations.Īnd the best martial Gish IMO is probably the hexblade. On that line the best caster based Gish is bladesinger. Because the core class is going to be martial Based or caster based. I'm definitely missing quickened spell though.ĭepends entirely on if you want to lean more on the martial side or the caster side. Plays similarly to Paly/Sorcerer, except you have the wizard spell list, which is obviously very good. I managed to roll a stat block recently that let me go for the SmiteSinger, (13/15/14/15/8/13 before racial bonuses), and am playing it at the moment and it is incredibly fun. ![]() Bladesinger 18/Paly2 (SmiteSinger) is incredibly MAD, but is very strong, as the bladesinger extra attack letting you mix cantrips is a lot of fun, and you end up getting 9th level wizard spells, which is obviously going to be better than pretty much anything else in the game at the late game. Other options for 2Paly/18Full Caster that do get extra attack are with Valour Bard and Swords Bard, both of which are fantastic gishes. Obviously you pay for it when you get to the very highest level. The +5 on all saves (especially because you get to pass this off to the whole team) and extra attack for more hits and more chances to smite are going a long way. That's a spellcaster that dabbles in melee (IMO obviously it is subjective). Also, until you get to 19th level, I'd argue that 6 levels of paladin are going to be WAY better for the majority of the campaign. I'd agree that sorcer18/paly2 is very strong once you get that wish spell, though I don't really think you can call a character that doesn't have extra attack a Gish.
